CIC

Break Comms CIC is committed to levelling the playing field for young people seeking employment, education and training; providing equality of opportunity for all individuals, with a focus on diverse, underrepresented and hard to reach / at risk groups

There is a skills and information gap that has been proven to exist between employers and potential new young employees.  Break Comms CIC works to provide diverse young people with training, qualifications, experience and alternative pathways into work, whilst arming them with increased knowledge of certain industries that can be the most impenetrable, such as the creative world.

We do this by:

- Running campaigns that create positive social impact for young people

- Providing pathways for diverse, hard-to-reach and other young people into employment and training

- Equipping young people with soft skills such as financial management, to allow them to manage their lives and careers effectively

- Creating projects in partnership with young people for both increased impact and direct work experience for those involved

- Building a network of young people that are supported through mentoring and access to further opportunities, and also provide a peer-to-peer support network for each other

- Success is having multiple points of engagement with an individual

- Engage with content / attend event / receive mentoring / graduate to become a peer mentor

- Working in collaboration with other individuals and organisations. Ensuring work enhances existing provision, rather than duplicates

We work with commercial partners to provide direct project-based work experience for young people through Break Comms Ltd, funding paid roles for young people to gain experience working on real-world projects.
